The company has launched new Vivo Y9s in its home country and the phone is essentially a rebranded version of the Vivo S1 Pro which was launched last week in Russia.

Vivo seems to have its hand full this year. The company has launched many phones ranging from affordable mid-segment phones to top-class premium phones this year. The mid-budget segment from Vivo which is quite a hit amidst the phone users both in China and India has received a new member this time. The company has launched new Vivo Y9s in its home country and the phone is essentially a rebranded version of the Vivo S1 Pro which was launched last week in Russia.

The new Vivo Y9s comes with a water-drop notch and a quad-camera set up on the back. Similar to most of the other Vivo phones, the Y9s too has a gradient back. The dual SIM phone sports a 6.38-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio. There is a fingerprint sensor placed beneath the display for security.

The new Vivo Y9s is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card. The phone runs on Android 9 Pie with company’s in-house Funtouch OS 9 skin on top.

On the camera front, the phone comes with a quad-camera set up at the back that consists of a 48MP main sensor with an f/1.8 lens, an 8MP secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP sensor for macro shots. On the front, you get a 32MP camera sensor for selfies. There is a 4500mAh battery inside that comes with 18W Dual Engine fast-charging system.

Coming to the connectivity options, the Vivo Y9s comes with a 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is available in Nebula Blue, Glazed Black, and Symphony of Light colour variants. The Vivo Y9s is priced at CNY 1,998 which is approximately RS 20,400.
